      Opportunity

      The purpose of the Security and Badging Specialist is to provide on-site support for the badging and physical access control systems.

      • Will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs for operating the U.S. Access Program and Physical Access Control (PACS) system.
      • Enrollment: verify Personally Identifiable Information, scan source ID documents, enroll fingerprints and capture photo in badging system
      • Issuance/Activation: verify accuracy of info printed on badge, inventory badge into system, set Personal Identification Number for badge and activate badge in the system, enroll the badge in the PACS Personnel
      • Enroll personnel in USAccess system for PIV cards.
      • Managing access to USAccess tools such as, credential inventory tool and report viewer,
      • Printing PIV cards for enrollees.
      • Managing access to CCURE station and its application software for enrollment for access control.
      • Run reports in the LENEL system for alarms, reader access, cardholder access, access levels, create new badge designs, create new access levels, configure new alarms or modes for building readers and monitor who enters or exits buildings.
      • Design and create different types of badges for certain personnel
      • Processing new employees (Civilian and Military) for DOE clearance to perform duties at NAVSEA.
      • Updating personnel record inventory for all NAVSEA employees such as new hire paperwork, foreign travel, personnel changes, personnel activity and infractions.
      • Perform duties such as clearance verification, clearance status, reinvestigation due dates, visit requests and scrubbing the DISS System of personnel who have no relationship with Naval Reactors after their separation.
      • Submitting security clearance packages to PERSEC for the process of e-QIP for new personnel.
      • Performing security briefings and debriefing processes for employees.
      • Perform admin duties such as inventory management, personnel information management, scanning and copying documents, use of Microsoft word tools, contacting current and applicant employees through email or phone, attending meetings on status updates of daily duties.
      • Managing parking pass requests, event parking allocation, assigning available executive visitor spaces, patrol garage for violations, processing for permanent and temporary parking passes.

      Salary: 60-90k

      Qualifications

      Clearance Required: Top Secret clearance required prior to consideration.Experience Required:

      • Experience in administrative processing of personnel records• Basic database management / data entry• Use of spreadsheets to track information• Experience in working in a classified environment• Familiar with the operation of electronic and mechanical locks• Word processing to produce signs and flyers• Experience in operating and maintaining badging and physical access control systems

      • Experience in enrolling employees into badging systems. Experience should include issuing badges and updating permissions on physical access control systems.• Experience in performing routine maintenance (i.e. patching, reboots) on badging and physical access control systems.• Ability to accurately measure distance using basic hand tools• Able to work from a ladder
