      Job Title: Send Network Church Development Coordinator

      SUMMARY:

      This position will support NAMB’s ministry objectives by coordinating the development of Send Network churches toward multiplication through gathering and creating resources and catalyzing opportunities for churches to learn best practices and move from vision to implementation.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following and other duties as assigned:

      • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of best practices and key leaders of Sending and Multiplying Churches.

      • Gather and create research-based resources to help field leaders cultivate, coach, and catalyze church multiplication.

      • Research and create resources to help mobilize and develop Sending and Multiplying Churches.

      • Manage the church development library and assist churches to engage with the resources.

      • Lead project-based teams and contractors when needed to develop resources and design learning environments for Sending and Multiplying Churches.

      • Oversee processes to verify, endorse, and track Sending and Multiplying Churches.

      SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION:

      • Will be directly accountable to the Director of Sending Churches in fulfilling the expectations of this job description.

      • An annual evaluation will take place by the Director of Sending Churches.

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and, resolving problems. Plans effectively for self and those assigned to help. Can develop and implement strategy and tactics with a schedule to meet expected results. Works in concert with others as a team player, neither dominating nor hesitating. Juggles several tasks or projects simultaneously and can cope successfully with changing priorities and the demands of a complex matrix organization. Adheres to budget limits and procedures and holds to a high ethical standard of fiscal control. Maintains confidentiality with sensitive institutional data. Practices servant leadership, giving praise, encouragement, and recognition when merited. Self-directed and motivated to start and complete assignments promptly without procrastination. Relates well to all kinds of people in all levels of their Christian walk, regardless of age, race, denominational affiliation or gender. Plans and runs effective meetings and participates in such a way as to foster team unity and common goals.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or four or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      COMMUNICATION SKILLS

      Must have the ability to understand and communicate English. Accurate spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and business writing is essential with ability to respond to common inquiries from customers.

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

      Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

      REASONING ABILITY

      Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its basic phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

      OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS

      Working knowledge of the NAMB strategy. Baptist guidelines – understands and demonstrates a familiarity with the financial structure within and among the SBC operating entities, i.e., NAMB, IMB, LifeWay, State conventions, associations and churches.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
