What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients calling for medical services
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff members, offering guidance and support
- Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare staff
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of insurance programs to assist patients
- Operate office equipment and perform data entry as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a call center setting and 12 months in a healthcare setting, or 12 months in a call center within a healthcare setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and insurance programs
- Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and establish effective working relationships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
- Experience with patient registration software systems
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
