What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage month-end close processes, including accrual schedules and supplier payments
- Write insightful management commentary based on business understanding
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to automate production elements
- Support year-end processes with external auditors and financial reporting teams
- Review new products for accounting implementation and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Qualified accountant with an audit background and experience in financial accounting
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of banking and regulatory landscapes
- Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Interest in utilizing data, with SQL skills as a bonus
- Previous experience in financial accounting and control outside of practice
