Serve as a key advisor and integrator within the Space Systems Command (SSC) Portfolio Execution Office (PEO), supporting high-level enterprise acquisition activities. The incumbent provides technical acquisition expertise to assist in managing the cost, schedule, and performance of a multi-program portfolio. This role focuses on supporting space acquisition strategies, integrating enterprise-level plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory and DoD reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day business operations by analyzing and integrating program-specific acquisition data to inform enterprise-level planning and execution.
- Assist with enterprise portfolio management by aligning acquisitions, manpower, and funding to strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain acquisition forecasts; identify disconnects, deficiencies, and opportunities for improved alignment.
- Support kill chain development by evaluating and advising on acquisition investments tied to capability gap closure.
- Collaborate with SSC PEOs, Directors, Deltas, and PMOs to synchronize enterprise acquisition activities.
- Collect and analyze programmatic data, including cost, schedule, performance, and technical metrics.
- Maintain acquisition databases and documentation repositories to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and compliance.
- Prepare reports such as the Monthly Acquisition Report (MAR), Selected Acquisition Report (SAR), and Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES).
- Draft briefings, point papers, and summaries for senior Space Force leadership, OSD, and Congress.
- Evaluate program documentation to verify compliance with statutes, acquisition strategies, and baselines.
- Validate system data and ensure synchronization across multiple government acquisition systems (e.g., SMART/PMRT, CCaR).
- Lead internal reporting programs such as the PEO Weekly Activity Report and database maintenance for rapid response to external queries.
- Interpret contract data, track budget execution, and assess technical and acquisition risk.
- 10+ years of experience in acquisition management, with at least 3 years in space acquisition programs.
- 2+ years of experience with SMART/PMRT software for MAR reporting.
- 2+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze acquisition data and generate reports and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Experience supporting program offices or portfolio management in a military or defense contractor environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present technical information clearly and accurately
- Experience with the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement (CCaR) System.
- Familiarity with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs).
- Experience with acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOW), CDRLs, and acquisition strategies.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities to manage acquisition continuity spaces and contract repositories.
- Master’s degree in Management, Business, Acquisition, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Operations Research.
May be required to travel to support mission requirements.

Salary information below is a general guide only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as business and market considerations.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing maybe required . This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Mental Demands: Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism.We hire military.
