      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Participate in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)
      - Assist the Contracting Officer in developing acquisition strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations
      - Conduct cost and pricing analysis on contractor proposals and support negotiations
      - Review incoming invoices for compliance and maintain contract files
      - Ensure proper closeout of contract/task orders and maintain communication with stakeholders

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ability to pass a government background investigation; U.S. citizenship required
      - 10+ years of acquisition experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred or additional years of experience in lieu of degree
      - Strong understanding of the contracting lifecycle and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
      - Knowledge of federal and agency laws applicable to the acquisition process
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 3+ years of DHS Acquisition experience
      - DAWIA, FAC, or NCMA Contracting or Program Management Certifications
      - 3+ years of experience as a warranted Level II contracting officer
      - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
