What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build models and establish KPIs with monitoring dashboards to enhance the insurance team's operations
- Support the development of DoorDash's risk segmentation model using predictive modeling techniques
- Propose and negotiate additional rate segmentation with insurance partners during the annual renewal process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical outputs into product initiatives aimed at reducing insurance costs
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to influence decision-making in insurance risk management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative or analytics role within the insurance industry
- Strong skills in SQL and Python/R
- Experience in building or improving predictive modeling techniques (e.g., GLM, GBM)
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams
- Work experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
