What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive resolution
- Develop and execute containment, eradication, and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
- Perform in-depth analysis including malware analysis, network forensics, and log analysis to identify root causes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures
- Conduct "lessons learned" reviews for significant incidents and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-6+ years of experience in Incident Response, Information Security, SOC, Forensics, or related field
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies including SIEM, EDR, and cloud computing services
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a relatable field
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and incident response best practices
- Previous experience in training or mentoring junior analysts
- Knowledge of cloud security and protection measures
