      What is the opportunity?

      You will be the Senior Analyst within the Global Equity & Fixed Income Sales Support EMEA team based in Frankfurt’s Sales & Trade Support department.

      The role is part of European Business and Client Services that supports pre and post trade deal processing for RBC Capital Markets securities trading businesses and its clients.

      The role ensures that trades are captured, allocated and matched for settlement as well as covering post trade processes.

      The Business and Client Services role is a first line of defence to trading businesses, ensures accurate books and records are maintained whilst providing a

      seamless client experience.

      What will you do?

      • To ensure all daily tasks / controls are completed in line with the department PRIMA maps and procedures.

      • To assist the Senior analyst (Lead) / Associate Director / Department Head on projects, process and improvements or new Business initiative as requested.

      • To continue to develop product / market knowledge to ensure daily processes are appropriate to reduce operational risks.

      • To escalate any unusual behaviour as well as any processing issues to Team lead or above in a timely manner following the operations escalation policy.

      • To understand and know how to locate central RBC policies.

      • To ensure PRIMA maps and procedures are up to date and to follow RBC policies.

      • To investigate any processing issues and recommend a course of action to the Team Manager or above. Once approved, assist in the execution of proposed change.

      • To Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workloads as applicable.

      • As a more experienced member of the team, assist colleagues with any day-to-day issues.

      • Will most likely have some form of approval/4 eye checking responsibility. Great care and attention to detail is expected.

      • To provide best in class client services to both internal and external clients by ensuring their queries are responded to within agree timeframes.

      • To adhere to mandatory training requirements in WorkDay and take a proactive approach to suggesting appropriate additional training as required for the role.

      ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Monitor Salesbook, GBOI and Fails reporting and exceptions.

      • Responsible for booking all allocations of Block trades, including CTM, FIX, voice, ALEX, GTC, ECN and Fidessa.

      • Responsible for monitoring and resolving fails.

      • All relevant reports and reconciliations are performed, breaks are notated and cleared as appropriate and passed for sign off daily. Where any policy or underlying reconciliation is not sufficiently understood this should be escalated to the Team Manager or above.

      • Trade amendments in TOMS, GBOI and Fidessa. New Issues and Placings processing. Manual DMA client bookings.

      • Monitoring Group inboxes.

      • Ensure B2B/omnibus book positions are flat intra day.

      • Sub-accounts and new account opening assistance, KYC assistance.

      • To be a point of contact for Sales/Trade teams and Settlements.

      • Fails Management including Front office related issues e.g., booking errors.

      • Client Confirmation (VCON).

      • To be point of contact for tier 1/Platinum Clients and continue to develop and enhance excellent Client Service.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • Candidates should be educated to A level standard or equivalent.

      • Strong knowledge and experience in the day to day processes and workings of Equity Sales Support.

      Nice-to-have

      • Direct and strong experience in a Sales Support or Middle Office role.

      • European languages - eg German/French/Italian.
