      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
      - Draft and prepare Council memoranda and responses to protests
      - Train and educate City staff on purchasing requirements, procedures, and best practices
      - Manage strategic procurement activities, including developing scopes of work and facilitating evaluations
      - Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
      - Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in general management/administrative analytic work
      - Knowledge of applicable professional/technical principles and practices
      - Possession of a valid State of California driver's license may be required for some assignments
      - Proven ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate analytical thinking skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional education beyond the Bachelor's Degree that can substitute for experience
      - Experience in vendor management and contract management activities
      - Familiarity with drafting complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement documents
      - Demonstrated leadership and initiative in previous roles
      - Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic planning
