What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write efficient, scalable, and reusable code while ensuring it is bug-free
- Unit test and maintain responsibility for the quality of your own code
- Mentor and coach fellow software developers
- Break down existing monolithic applications into modern microservices
- Collaborate with product managers and senior leadership on new features and strategic planning
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of professional development experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Substantial experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS
- Proficiency in web development using at least one of Java, C#, or Python
- Experience with SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Node.js, particularly in microservices
- Familiarity with containerized application deployments, especially using Docker
- Experience with large-scale data systems
- Knowledge of message queuing architectures, particularly RabbitMQ
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis
