      Overview
      Responsible for administration and analysis of Riverside's health and welfare benefits programs, wellness programs, and health reimbursement programs. Serves as subject matter expert for inhouse benefits administration platform to include coordination of configuration updates and testing of benefit plans, eligibility, carrier files and enrollment/life event workflows. Responsible for compliant plan administration, analysis, auditing and overall management of Riverside's employee benefits and wellness programs. Leads annual enrollment planning, communications and implementation of benefits changes. Develops and coordinates wellness initiatives focused on total wellbeing. Collects, analyzes and audits benefit and wellness program and participation data on an ongoing basis to ensure they are administered accurately in accordance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. Independently trains and directs work of team on health and wellness programs.

      What you will do
      • Benefits Systems: Serves as subject matter expert in the day-to-day administrative operations for employee health and welfare benefits as well as other voluntary benefits within the benefit platform. Independently coordinates configuration updates and tests benefit platforms for to ensure data integrity of benefits eligibility, enrollment, plan setup and carrier/vendor changes. Responsible for benefit business processes and automation of workflows to ensure efficient and accurate benefit transactions for new hires, status changes, life events, terminations. Independently evaluates data and processes to ensure accurate data is transmitted timely through vendor integrations for outbound and inbound files. Responsible to ensure integrations are working as expected and error reports are worked and resolved timely. Troubleshoots system issues and tests system upgrades.
      • Benefits Administration: Demonstrates expertise on organization health and wellness benefits. Leads annual enrollment planning and communications. Assess, interpret and tracks vendor service agreements and invoices. Develops and coordinates wellness initiatives focused on total wellbeing. Collects, analyzes and audits benefit and wellness program and participation data on an ongoing basis to ensure they are administered accurately in accordance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. Recommends changes or improvements based on analysis of utilization, feedback tools and trends. Supports Health and Welfare governance committee to include but not limited to meeting coordination, agenda, minutes, presentations. Ensures carrier billing and premium collections are administered timely and accurately.
      • Compliance and Reporting: Maintains expertise of federal and state regulatory and compliance requirements for health and wellness benefits programs. Responsible for ACA reporting/filing. Responsible for all Health and Welfare required notices. Works with Broker and Director on Compliance and Reporting: Maintains expertise of federal and state regulatory and compliance requirements for health and wellness benefits programs. Responsible for ACA reporting/filing. Responsible for all Health and Welfare required notices. Works with Broker and Director on timely completion of 5500 filing. Assist with plan document, summary plan description and policy updates. Conducts periodic audits to verify accurate and compliant benefit administration.
      • Service and Support: As the subject matter expert, serves as resource to train, support and promote teamwork and exceptional customer service. Works closely with leadership to ensure benefit vendors and carriers are meeting performance and service expectations conduct benefit education sessions. Demonstrates exceptional customer service to team members. Collaborates effectively to resolve problems quickly.

      Qualifications

      Education
      • Bachelors Degree, Human Resources, Business or Related Field (Required)

      Experience
      • 5-6 years Benefits Administration experience with strong understanding of health and wellness benefit programs (Required)
      • 2 years Workday HCM experience, preferably with benefits module or other automated benefits enrollment systems experience. (Required)

      Licenses and Certifications
      • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP Certification (Preferred)
      • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) (Preferred)
