      Company Description

SquareTrade is the fastest growing company of its kind. We’re an InsurTech scale-up revolutionising the $30bn consumer electronics insurance sector by bringing a customer centric approach and best-in-class operations to what has been an industry lacking pace and innovation. We partner with some of the largest, most sophisticated retailers and carriers in the world (Amazon, Three, MediaMarkt, Walmart,Target, Costco, T-Mobile to name a few), consistently win industry awards, have received tens of thousands of 5-star reviews... and we’re just getting started. A member of the Allstate family, SquareTrade has headquarters in San Francisco and London. But as good as we are, there's always room for improvement. That's where you come in.

      Job Description

We are looking for a sharp, motivated, organised and analytical problem solver to join the burgeoning EMEA Business Development team that is focused on originating new partnerships and opening up new sectors. Our heartland is working with leading B2C telecoms operators and retailers but we are rapidly diversifying into consumer electronics, B2B and adjacent propositions so innovative thinking and sharp execution are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic mind that can rapidly develop a deep understanding of our value proposition, operational complexity and motivations of our customers. We need someone who is disciplined, can see the spaces to scale the business for the long-term, and thrives on creating new partnerships to achieve our €500m 2023 revenue target. This person must be interested in the interconnection of business development and operations, finance, and partner management. This must be coupled with strong communication and collaboration skills as the role requires coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure that deliverables and project timelines are met.

This will include anything from how to assess operational impacts by coordinating the involvement
of the supply chain team to building a war chest of case studies, presentations, pitch decks and frameworks that can be deployed for different meetings and pitches.
      • Manage projects, and lead our response to RFPs. Effectively lead and manage projects that deliver against specific goals, objectives and timelines.
      • Primary and secondary research to define who our core and outer circle of target clients should be
and why. Some will be obvious, but what are the ones that aren’t? Building the rationale and factbase around this.

      • Develop broad knowledge - get under the skin of the business so you can present like a GM at any prospective client meeting. Be unafraid and humble enough to do the data entry, but tackle the high level strategy making with equal gusto.
      • Building effective business cases for new business. Put a pound/ euro/ dollar sign to it - how big is the opportunity we are going after? Working with finance, operations, account management, USA & APAC to build the business case to back opportunities we are going after.
