As part of a full-time permanent contract, we are recruiting one:
Senior Buyer
Missions:
Reporting to the European Purchasing Manager within the Aerospace Business Unit, you participate in Group Purchasing activities, in particular through the monitoring and management of the main suppliers of the Clevedon site, in a process of permanent progress in terms of costs, service, quality, innovation and EHS.
On a daily basis, your mission revolves around the following responsibilities:
• You develop and deploy purchasing strategies for external service providers (raw material, forgings, heat treatment, surface treatment, machining)
• You are looking for new partners and managing existing ones in the context of new products in development (from drafting RFIs, RFQs to selecting suppliers and signing contracts).
• You implement or coordinate cost reduction projects within the framework of multidisciplinary projects within the entire organization on raw materials and components,
• You anticipate tensions (components or supplier capacities), risks of shortages, and manage the security of supplies.
• You monitor key indicators (KPI) and communicate with factories (optimization of logistical conditions, deadlines, MOQ, etc.)
• You define and maintain your purchasing budget
• Definition and maintenance of the purchasing budget
You are also responsible for:
• You lead the annual Business Reviews with the suppliers for whom you are guarantors
• You are responsible for the purchasing information entered in the SAP ERP in Power BI.
• You share good purchasing practices with your colleagues from other sites
• You participate in the SKF roadmap on CO² emissions by integrating responsible purchasing into your activity.
Your profile:
We are looking for a person with the following profile:
With higher education in the metallurgical industry, ideally coupled with purchasing training, you have at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, ideally in the field.
Knowledge of the material category and this sector is a plus.
You are recognized for your economic sensitivity and your excellent interpersonal skills. You are comfortable with numbers and enjoy negotiation. You are proficient in English and computer tools.
Travel in UK and abroad is to be expected.
You will thrive in this position if you are:
