IPG Purchasing procures from an international base of suppliers to meet capital equipment customer requirements. The Senior Buyer is responsible for developing sources and executing material delivery to support the current manufacturing plan.
Duties:
* Plans and purchases components and services to MRP generated demand
* Expedites components and materials to meet production schedules for customer orders
* Purchases MRO items from requisition based demand to support operations
* Develops and maintains purchasing procedures to support quality standards and ISO9000 practices
* Works with engineering and quality assurance to develop new vendors to support company growth, quality, and capacity objectives
* Negotiates contracts and administers a cost reduction program
* Participates in periodic MRB meetings
* Maintains ERP database with supplier and customs compliance dataQualifications
* Degree in business or a technical field with 5+ years' purchasing experience
* Negotiation skills
* International purchasing and importing logistics experience including understanding of INCOTERMS
* Extensive knowledge of electronics supply chain, machining operations and sheet metal fabrication appropriate to the capital equipment industry* Computer literacy -- competence with MS Office modules and past experience working with ERP systemsIND123#ZRNotice
