- High School Diploma Required; bachelor’s degree preferred in business or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Must be highly motivated and comfortable working independently and in teams.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be adaptable to working in a rapidly changing and evolving environment.
- At least five years of previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of imports preferred.
- Develop annual Procurement Plan for Spanish Fork and assigned spend categories.
Sets the strategic direction and priorities for procurement activities. - Manage and drive cost improvement initiatives by analyzing spend and purchase trends for tracking of all departments.
Demonstrates ownership of cost savings and data-driven decision-making. - Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and risk factors. Source alternate suppliers as needed.
Highlights critical supplier management and risk mitigation responsibilities. - Execute contracts for identified suppliers.
Shows authority and accountability in formalizing supplier relationships. - Partner with quality and finance to monitor supplier performance.
Emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement. - Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures. Proactively identify gaps in compliance and create action plans to remediate.
Underscores governance, risk management, and process improvement. - Deliver Procurement support for the Spanish Fork location and departments.
Captures the core operational support function of the role.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for taking full and independent ownership over assigned product categories. This role will provide sourcing, commodity, and supply base management expertise to ensure that all aspects of the sourcing process meet the company’s quality, surety of supply, and cost to meet procurement requirements. This role will be responsible to strategically source existing products, onboard new products and brands, control pricing and creatively initiate and execute plant strategies. A Senior Buyer must have an entrepreneurial mind, a keen understanding of industry trends, and ability to coordinate projects across multiple departments.
