      The Senior Care Advocate, National ABA Team - Remote is responsible for supporting case management of behavioral health services, specifically for members with co-morbid behavioral and chronic or complex medical conditions. The Senior Care Advocate will be responsible for the supervision of team members, including managing workloads, responding to escalated cases, communicating with other areas of care advocacy, and network management to ensure coordination, effectiveness, and efficiency. The Senior Care Advocate will coach, guide, and lead the team through escalated cases, staffing, and inquiries.

      Flexible Work Hours: Monday - Friday (7am to 7pm CST)

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Serve as a resource for staff on routine questions and procedures
      • Assist with coordination of orientation and training activities
      • Provide team and account specific training to new hires and referral partners on an on-going basis as needed
      • Perform quality audits and partner with manager to review key metrics with team
      • Provide feedback regarding individual and team performance to management for use in clinical supervision and Performance Reviews
      • Assist with special projects, committee work, team specific activities and other duties as assigned
      • Provide coverage when managers are in meetings or out of the office
      • Develop supervisory skills through on-the-job training and supervisor feedback
      • Assist in resolution of escalated member or case issues
      • Monitor IEX and CMS for call volume, stats, CA adherence
      • Collaborate with management teams to ensure effective coordination of cases and proactively identify and resolve issues
      • Develop job aids and training documents
      • Recommend areas for process improvement and assist with development and implementation of new processes

      Required Qualifications:

      • Master's-level clinician in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Counseling; Licensed Ph.D.; Licensed PsyD; or BCBA/LBA
      • Active, unrestricted license to practice independently in State of Residence
      • 3+ years of experience working with children and families; must include experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders
      • 2+ years of post-licensure experience
      • 1+ years of experience in a Managed Care Setting (MCO)
      • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet) with the ability to navigate a Windows environment, including create, edit, save, and send documents utilizing Microsoft Word


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Informal or formal leadership experience, such as Team Lead, SME, leading projects or initiatives, coaching, etc.
      • Background or knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques for children, specifically Applied Behavior Analysis
      • Ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
      • Ability to positively influence teamwork and team engagement

      California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
