      Senior Client Strategist

      4-Month Contract Role (Opportunity for Hire)

      ABOUT THE ROLE

      As a Senior Client Strategist at 321, you will lead multi-channel marketing strategies that drive measurable growth for our clients during this 4-month contract engagement. You'll act as a business consultant, strategic planner, and relationship builder—working closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to develop and implement high-impact digital strategies.

      This role requires hands-on experience executing campaigns within digital platforms including CRM systems, paid media interfaces, email management tools, and marketing automation platforms, combined with a proactive embrace of evolving AI tools that can streamline, scale, or enhance strategic outcomes.

      You will translate client goals into comprehensive, results-driven roadmaps that evolve with changing business needs, technology, and customer behavior. The Senior Client Strategist is an agency leader—accountable for strategic direction, fostering trusted relationships, and ensuring work is executed on time, on budget, and above expectations.


      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      Client Strategy & Relationship Leadership

      • Lead client conversations focused on business growth, campaign KPIs, and marketing performance
      • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, helping them prioritize efforts that generate revenue and long-term value
      • Align cross-functional teams around strategic objectives and ensure seamless execution across digital, creative, and development functions
      • Regularly surface proactive insights, innovation opportunities, and solutions to unlock account growth
      • Guide and evolve strategies using AI and automation tools to increase campaign performance and operational efficiency

      Full-Funnel Marketing & Digital Campaign Strategy

      • Develop and oversee omni-channel marketing strategies, including paid digital campaigns (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube), CRM programs, email marketing, and content-led funnel tactics
      • Translate goals into marketing roadmaps, campaign calendars, and test-and-learn plans
      • Monitor performance data, analyze key metrics, and optimize funnel performance at every stage—from awareness to conversion to retention
      • Collaborate with channel leads and creatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality, effective campaigns

      Platform Execution & Technical Implementation

      • Execute campaigns directly within paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, YouTube Ads)
      • Build, manage, and optimize CRM workflows, automation sequences, and segmentation strategies within platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, High Level, or similar systems
      • Create and deploy email campaigns, including design, copywriting coordination, A/B testing, and performance analysis
      • Configure tracking pixels, conversion events, UTM parameters, and analytics integrations to ensure accurate measurement
      • Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize account structures, and implement technical best practices
      • Maintain platform certifications and stay current with feature updates and algorithm changes

      Communication, Documentation & Collaboration

      • Prepare and present strategic briefs, scopes of work, reports, and recommendations with clarity and confidence
      • Maintain accurate records, campaign tracking documentation, and client-facing reports
      • Actively manage project and client communications in tools such as ClickUp, Basecamp, and Slack
      • Serve as the liaison between client needs and internal resources—ensuring alignment, transparency, and accountability

      Revenue Ownership & Agency Leadership

      • Drive revenue growth through strategic account planning, identifying upsell opportunities, and improving client satisfaction
      • Participate in budgeting, pacing, invoicing, and profitability tracking
      • Collaborate with leadership on evolving internal workflows, service offerings, and department capabilities
      • Support onboarding, mentorship, and training of junior team members


      WHAT YOU HAVE

      Required Experience & Skills

      • 5+ years experience in account strategy, client services, or marketing consultancy—ideally in a fast-paced agency environment
      • Working knowledge of building and managing campaigns within paid digital platforms:
        • Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max, YouTube)
        • Meta Ads Manager (Facebook, Instagram)
        • LinkedIn Campaign Manager
        • Other paid platforms (Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter/X, etc.)
      • Working knowledge of CRM platforms with demonstrated ability to:
        • Build automation workflows and email sequences
        • Create customer segmentation and lifecycle journeys
        • Integrate platforms with other marketing tools
        • Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, High Level, ActiveCampaign, or similar
      • Email marketing execution experience including:
        • Campaign creation, deployment, and optimization
        • A/B testing strategy and analysis
        • Deliverability best practices
        • ESP platform management (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Klaviyo, or platform-native email tools)
      • Marketing automation proficiency with ability to map customer journeys and build multi-touch nurture programs
      • Analytics and tracking expertise including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, and conversion tracking setup
      • Familiarity with leveraging AI and marketing technology for audience segmentation, creative optimization, personalization, and reporting
      • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
      • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
      • Confidence in decision-making and comfort navigating ambiguity or complex stakeholder dynamics
      • Proficiency in Google Suite, ClickUp, Basecamp, and marketing analytics/reporting platforms

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Platform certifications (Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, etc.)
      • Experience with marketing data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Agency Analytics)
      • Background in SQL, APIs, or technical integrations
      • Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, legal, financial services)


      REPORTING STRUCTURE

      This position reports to the Director of Client Success.

      This position may collaborate with and provide guidance to Client Strategists during the contract period.


      COMPENSATION

      Contract Rate: Competitive hourly rate or project-based compensation (commensurate with experience)

      Contract Duration: 4 months (approximately 16 weeks)

      Work Arrangement: Full-time hours during contract period (40 hours/week)


      CONTRACT TERMS

      • This is a full-time contract position for a period of four (4) months
      • Contract includes potential for extension based on business needs and performance
      • Contractor will be responsible for their own benefits, taxes, and insurance during the contract period
      • Work may be performed remotely or hybrid based on business needs and mutual agreement
      • Equipment and software access will be provided as needed for role execution
