- Attending clinic twice a week
- Attending theatre and contributing to pre and postoperative care.
- Supporting care of the patients on the ward, taking calls and offering advice to other hospitals, and seeing patients in accident and emergency
- Contributing to multidisciplinary team meeting
- Supporting the research activity of the department
- There will be all-day Saturday duties every four weeks
- On call in paediatric surgery will be by arrangement
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients of the trust in such hospitals, health centres or clinics or other premises as required.
- Continuing clinical responsibility for the patients in your charge, allowing for all proper delegation to, and training of, your staff

- Understanding of the principles and applications of clinical research
- Evidence of original research
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Able to cope with stressful situations
- Good communication skills
- Maintenance of surgical log book
- 6 months in paediatric urology
- Evidence of understanding of the role of clinical management

Job summary
The Evelina London Children's Hospital is one full-time Senior Clinical Fellows in Paediatric Urology. This posts will join a team of five Consultant Paediatric Urologists, a team of middle grade doctors and Clinical Nurse Specialists providing a seamless and highly responsive Urology service, supporting a wide range of specialist children's services based at the Evelina London Children's Hospital and the wider region .

The successful post-holder will be part of a team of middle grade doctors in Paediatric Urology who work to provide care of Paediatric Urology out-patients and in-patients. The role will include:

There are currently 5 full time Consultant Paediatric Urologists based in Evelina Children's Hospital, delivering the specialist urology service.
Paediatric Urology patients are mainly admitted to Beach Ward and Day Case Unit. Most urology patients are exclusively under the care of Paediatric Urology, but we work closely with our colleagues in Paediatric Surgery, Nephrology, Renal, Metabolic, Neurology, Haematology & Sickle cell services and PICU. Shared care arrangements are common.
