The Senior Clinical Informaticist will focus on the design, development, and implementation of the clinical information system life cycle. The position requires deep understanding and appreciation for health care operations and corporate initiatives, which drive system processes, policies and utilization. This position also requires a strong comprehensive understanding of clinical workflow and health-care based information technology. The Senior CI will monitor utilization, compliance and physician satisfaction to ensure successful system adoption. This position serves as a leader and mentor to junior staff.
Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Major/Area of Concentration: Nursing BSN or Allied Health
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration or Data
Science
Required Certifications, Certification in Nursing Informatics (RN-BC)
Required Experience: 7-10 years experience in hospital analyticsPreferred Experience: 1-2 years leadership experience
3-5 years direct patient care
Demonstrated expertise in performance improvement tools and methodology, leadership and change with
analytic knowledge to develop evidence-based, data driven improvements in the quality of patient care.
* Exhibits advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to observe, analyze and interpret general, technical
and clinical data (verbal and written).
* Highly developed communication skills - Ability and comfort with working at executive levels.
* Knowledge of administrative systems and software applications including MS Office, MS Project, etc.
* Understanding of The Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other
regulatory requirements
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities while under pressure.
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization system-wide. Practices effective listening,
interpersonal and team building skills in a diverse workforce.
* Prior departmental leadership and management experience of people, projects and technology.
* Lead by example while also mentoring and motivating others in the CI team and all around you.
* Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital and IT mission, vision, value and promise statements,
policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.About the company
