      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Analyze, investigate, and resolve coding-related claims denials and rejections
      - Perform monthly internal coding and abstracting audits to ensure a 95% accuracy rate
      - Provide guidance and training to other HIM Coding Denials Management Specialists
      - Prepare appeals and rebuttal letters in response to coding-related claims denials
      - Maintain compliance with federal and state coding regulations and guidelines

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or equivalent
      - Specialized training including completion of college courses in Medical Terminology and a certified coding course
      - Minimum of 10 years of experience in ICD, CPT/HCPCS coding in an acute care facility
      - Experience using computerized coding and abstracting database software
      - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 1-2 years of lead experience in a relevant role
      - Additional coding certifications beyond the required AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or AAPC Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
