Job Role:
Work in global corporate commodity purchasing organization to fulfill the purchasing requirement of the company. Drive activities within the assigned commodity for all topics related sourcing, price management and supplier releationships.
- Ensure reliable and competitive sourcing for assigned commodity including supplier nomination process
- Negotiaion and conclusion of contracts with suppliers like terms&conditions, quality guidelines, logistic guidelines, consignment contracts
- Prepare and conclude price negotiations with current and new suppliers
- Achieve cost saving targets for the relevant suppliers, drive cost down initatives in cooperation with VAVE Team
- Actively support and contribute to Part Family Strategies (PFS)
- Grow supplier participation in ZF Indirect Steel purchasing Program (Steel-Works-Concept) for ZF Suppliers, cooperate with other steel related commodities like tubes, stampings
- Manage supplier escalations in regards to quality and/or logistics issues if necessary
- Update required reporting for pricing adjustments, spend and forecasts accurately and timely
- Preparation of decision templates and presentation in relevant committees
Internal & External Contact:
- Internal: Commodity Purchasing, Program Purchasing, Program Mgt., Engineering, SQE/SDE, VA/VE, Accounting, Logistics/Materials, Legal, R&D, MM Controlling, Raw Material Intelligence Team
- External: ZF Supplier Base, Potential new suppliers, Consulting agencies.
Qualifications / Expericence Required:
- Bachelor degree i n Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering related major. Metal material experience is preferred.
- 3~5 years of working experience in sourcing/process/quality in automotive / steel-related industry.
- Self-motivated and be able to multitask. Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks, manage time effectively.
- Computer/software knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Basic automotive quality management system knowledge and project management skills are required.
- Basic metallurgy knowledge is preferred.
- Fluent oral and written English a must. German is a plus.
- A dedicated team player with outstanding communication skills.
Monthly wage from 2 100 € (including basic wage component *, bonuses and premiums)* of which basic wage component: from 1 788 €
