      About You

      The Senior Communications Advisor (Digital) role contributes to the success of RMIT by managing best practice communications that not only meet the needs of RMIT internal stakeholders but importantly meet the needs of students.

      The role is accountable for maintaining and optimising student-facing digital information and platforms, content management of the student website (content creation and editing) so that it is fit-for-purpose and reflects best-practice communications principles.

      The role also acts as a Digital Communications Advisor, working closely with stakeholders across all levels of the University to optimise communications that support business processes, solve issues and improve student experience.

      A focus will be ensuring student communications are clear and timely.

      The Senior Advisor will work closely with their line manager, the Student Experience Communications team and wider University Communications team.

      To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:

      • Experience in managing and delivering engaging and impactful digital communications in a timely and responsive way

      • The ability to advise and work effectively with stakeholders, and problem solve solutions to meet stakeholder objectives

      • The ability to plan, manage and executed multiple communications campaigns and projects concurrently to a high standard

      • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated passion for delivering creative and impactful communications

      • Good knowledge of industry leading digital communications best-practice

      • Experience in web-publishing and content management platforms such as AEM, Wordpress, Squarespace – and email/EDM platforms – Marketo, Salesforce (or similar)

      • Experience in digital analytics platforms – such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics (or similar)

      Qualifications/Skills

      A degree in Communications with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
