      Salary: 88,000.00- 128,000.00 annually

      Education : High school diploma required. Associates/Bachelor's degree and SHRM certification is preferred.

      Experience: 5 years' experience with comprehensive benefits and compensation administration in a heavily technology focused organization in the US and Canada is required.

      The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing compensation and benefits programs in a mature organization. This role requires a deep understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and legal regulations as they impact technically oriented organizations as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

      Role Description:

      BusPatrol is seeking a Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our rapidly growing organization. The role will be responsible to develop, implement, and ensure ongoing administration of all aspects of the company's total rewards, compensation, and benefits programs, and is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and possesses extensive experience building and implementing compensation and benefit policies and programs. The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply their expertise in a consultative approach to balancing compliance and business outcomes with the needs of various stakeholders.

      Responsibilities

      • Define a fair, equitable, and competitive total compensation framework that aligns with our organization strategy and business goals.
      • Develop and own a consistent compensation philosophy and guidelines in line with our work culture and organizational objectives, in partnership with HR and Finance leadership.
      • Ensure that compensation and benefit practices comply with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc.) in all BusPatrol operating areas, including Canada and the US.
      • Benchmark jobs against survey data to determine competitive pay for the jobs
      • Provide analytical support and subsequent recommendations to HR and Talent Acquisition on compensation related matters such as hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.
      • Conduct ongoing analysis into emerging trends and best practices by applying salary and labor market research to determine appropriate compensation ranges and review annually.
      • Employ various methods and techniques to make data-based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensations.
      • Partner with HR and Finance leadership and benefits brokers to optimize the company's benefits offerings.
      • Develop and implement a company wide platform/database to manage all job descriptions. Work cross functionally to prepare job descriptions, job analysis, job evaluations, and job classifications in partnership with internal stakeholders and vendors and oversee the creation of all new job descriptions.
      • Develop and execute an annual salary review process and policy for salary adjustments, including policy around annual and midcycle adjustments, in partnership with Finance.
      • Conduct periodic audits and prepare compensation and benefit reports and presentations for leadership.
      • Prepare and manage annual open enrollment and new hire benefits selection processes.
      • Build a total rewards statement and company communication strategy to provide on-going compensation and benefits education to management and employees.
      • Assess employees needs/preferences by creating and deploying organisational benefits surveys and act as the first point of contact for employees on all questions related to compensation and benefits.


      Qualifications

      • Associate's/Bachelor's degree required, SHRM certification preferred.
      • 5 years' experience with comprehensive compensation and benefits administration in a technology-focused company in the US and Canada.
      • Experience in building, defining, and executing compensation and benefits policies and structure for organizations.
      • Extensive knowledge of current labor rules and regulations.
      • Experience utilizing labor market salary databases, job leveling, salary grading, including the use of standard databases such as Radford, Towers-Watson etc.
      • Experience developing job descriptions and providing evaluations and recommendations.
      • Knowledge of compensation theory and principles relating to job design, job analysis, job documentation and job evaluation.
      • Strong understanding of modern benefits offerings including marketplaces for insurance and other benefits, relevant to technology focused organizations including impacts due to legislation.
      • Extensive experience working with benefits brokers.
      • Experience preparing and conducting open enrollment and managing enrollment for new hires.
      • Ability to influence and work with others to ensure support for programs, projects, and initiatives.
      • Extensive knowledge of HRIS and MS office including PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
      • Possess quantitative, analytical, and data visualization skillset with the ability to successfully perform in-depth analyses. Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate and work cross functionally with colleagues is required
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to senior company leaders.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.

      The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.       USD $88,000.00/Yr.
