What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform comprehensive audits of facility and outpatient/professional claims for coding accuracy
- Conduct education sessions for physicians and other healthcare practitioners based on audit results
- Review clinical documentation and coding to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines
- Analyze paid claims data reports and develop risk-informed audit plans
- Assist clients with regulatory inquiries, payer reviews, and special compliance projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in MS-DRG, AP-DRG, and APR-DRG coding/auditing
- One or more nationally recognized inpatient coding compliance certifications required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong analytical thinking and detail orientation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree, RN/LPN, or other clinical credentials preferred
- Experience using Electronic Health Record systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
- Proficiency in developing clinical documentation and coding audit tools
- Understanding of sampling and basic data analytics (Pivot Tables)
- Exceptional flexibility, organization, and time management skills
