We're seeking a creative and data-driven Senior Copywriter, SEO & AI to join our SEO team. You'll play a key role in crafting compelling and SEO-optimized content that resonates with our target audience and drives organic traffic to our websites. As well, keyword research and metadata writing will be part of the responsibility set. You will also have the opportunity to explore and leverage the power of AI in content creation and optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO best practices, excellent writing skills that are driven by SEO research and a passion for staying on top of the latest trends in AI and digital marketing.The position’s preferred base is in Pleasanton, CA but will have the option of Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).
Main responsibilities
• Create SEO-optimized content: Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of channels, including website pages, product descriptions, blog posts, social media, email campaigns, and more.
• Conduct keyword research: Identify and target relevant keywords and phrases that align with our business goals and resonate with our audience.
• Collaborate with SEO specialists: Work closely with our SEO team to ensure content is optimized for search engines and meets our performance objectives.
• Stay up-to-date on SEO best practices: Keep abreast of the latest trends and algorithm updates to ensure our content remains effective and visible.
• Explore AI in content creation: Experiment with AI tools to generate content ideas, optimize existing copy, and improve overall content quality.
• Analyze content performance: Monitor and measure the effectiveness of content using analytics tools and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
• Write SEO metadata: For aisle, landing pages, and products. This will also extend to writing copy and metadata for assets such as videos that go on Youtube.
• Learn and Work with LLMs: While developing new AI personas, voices, and processes to optimize and edit copy generated from AI and LLMs while also staying up to date on AI language model advancements.
The salary range is $83,000 - $108,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay/Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually) bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility. Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a copywriter with a focus on SEO
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
• Strong understanding of SEO tools such as SEMRush and Google Search Console
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Familiarity with AI tools and technologies used in content creation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
