- Review, control and manage budgets; group management accounts (with specific focus on Operations) and statutory accounts for BAT Exports Limited;
- Manage treasury function, Royalties income and expenses, Headcount budgets;
- Ensure compliance with local and group controls, SOX standards and minimise financial risks for BAT Exports Ltd;
- Responsibility for the on-going development of forecasting tools and techniques to ensure accurate P&L and cash forecasts within BAT Exports.
- Timely and accurate presentation of management information to Senior Management;
- Reviewing and approving P&L and cash flow forecasts via BPC for the AME Ops Direct Business Unit (including 9 factory locations);
- Monthly review of financials, manual inputs, P&L split by multiple business streams and Balance sheet for BAT Exports in a SOX compliant way;
- Running monthly Ops business meetings focused on profit, stock risk, other ops relevant matters;
- Day to day approval of journals, accruals, purchase orders and cash spend in line with statement of Delegated Authority;
- Approval of monthly net cash forecast via BATCASH;
- Reviewing and approving hedging across multiple currencies to reduce foreign exchange risk;
- Business Risk management – implementation of key controls, policies and procedures etc;
- Adhoc projects;
- Royalties income and Expenses including Masterdata changes for entire BAT Group;
- Accruals and day to day transactions including recharges between Exports and group entities.
- Significant relevant corporate finance experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment;
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal controls environment;
- Self-motivated and experienced in leading a team and managing senior stakeholders;
- Strong Influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Good commercial awareness and awareness of key interfaces;
- Computer literacy with respect to SAP, BPC and advanced MS Office skills;
- Degree educated and fully qualified accountant.
