- Travel in and out of state as necessary to complete site inspections and meet with clients
- Collection of construction field data on buildings through measuring, and production of detailed notes acceptable for costing and audit purposes
- Costing of all components of architectural, site, mechanical and electrical construction utilizing pricing manuals as well as industry accepted techniques and methods
- Skillfully working with various computer spreadsheet and estimating software programs, as well as electronic estimating equipment
- Generation of computer reports including incorporation of costs details, references, and summaries of technical construction data
- Dissemination of applications for payment and other cost summary and/or budget information
- This position requires physical activity such as field data collection, which may require eight hours on foot if necessary
- Receive and review asset costs and study requirements with managers and staff
- Meet client deadlines
- Accommodate busy season demands during January through April
- Learn applicable tax code and regulations as it pertains to the industry
- Acquire the skills needed to complete reports with minimal supervision
- Review tax returns, tax research, tax communications, and other requested deliverables
- Train and mentor junior level staff
- Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A minimum of three years of experience in the construction, engineering, real estate and/or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
- Self-starter with the ability to handle and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel if needed, travel is estimated to be up to 50% dependent upon client engagements
- CPA certification, EA certification, PE certification, PMP certification, CCSP or Member certification
- Familiarity with cost estimating software
- Prior public accounting experience
- Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
- We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
