      Job Description

      The Senior CSR Specialist will be responsible for supporting Hitachi Solutions’ UK and European CSR initiatives across all 5 pillars including Social Value, Non-profit Alignment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellbeing and Environmental Sustainability.

      As a subject matter expert on related sustainability topics you'll work closely with various departments to integrate programmes across our business operations and teams whilst providing essential support to the CSR Manager.

      You’ll be able to spot opportunities to instil positive, meaningful change, and demonstrate creative traits to help generate ideas we could explore to improve our position across all 5 pillars. Great relationship building and communication skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload and diary.

      Responsibilities will include:

      • Support and develop our CSR strategy in line with Hitachi Group objectives encompassing our 5 identified CSR Pillars.
      • Work across the organisation to support individuals and teams with implementation and engagement in our CSR initiatives.
      • Play a visible role in advocating for impact and purpose lead activities encouraging the wider organisation to get involved.
      • Oversea all CSR trackers and necessary databases, ensuring these remain up to date with latest activity and are ready for audit.
      • Manage CSR administrative tasks, including updating trackers, databases and ensuring all policies and online spaces remain up to date.
      • Contribute regularly to business comms, both internal and external, providing content and insight into our CSR developments and impact.
      • Support the design and launch of our Social Value Programme.
      • Act as the representative for any internal and external communications, media, events and conferences etc.
      • Stay abreast of relevant legislations, regulations, policy changes, research, trends and best practice.
      • Host engagement events and upskilling sessions to allow everyone to get involved regardless of their level of knowledge.
      • Support all European sites to develop similar activity in their respective areas being mindful of differences in culture and market position.
      • Manage our UK Charity Partnerships and be main point of contact for our charity partner.
      • Prepare and deliver update reports and presentations to engage and influence our leadership and wider teams.
      • Motivate and inspire the wider workforce to get involved and support our impact driven activities.

      Qualifications

      The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for our CSR programmes and future and take pride and accountability for influencing change and positive outcomes, You will be to work on your own initiative and effectively manage and prioritise your workload, whilst demonstrating superb communication and relationship building skills.

      • Experience of CSR, sustainability, or related fields within a corporate environment.
      • Strong understanding of CSR principles, environmental issues, and social impact strategies.
      • Familiar with sustainability frameworks (UNSDG’s, Social Value Act, SBTI)
      • Fast learner, solutions focussed, keen to embrace new areas of CSR.
      • Ability to analyse data, track metrics, and generate comprehensive reports.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of supporting a variety of stakeholders
      • Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented
      • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
      • Experience in prioritization of deliverables and tasks
      • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
      • Ability to work with remote teams and maintain an unwavering virtual connection presence
      • Able to seek out, understand and incorporate feedback
