      What You’ll Be Doing
      As the Sr. Data Architect, you will focus on the continuous delivery of private cloud-based infrastructure, data, and application architectural solutions from strategy through implementation. The Senior Data Architect will manage highly visible and complex projects from start to finish. This role requires proficiency in developing realistic project plans to meet delivery objectives and the ability to maintain and establish required service levels.

      The Senior Data Architect is responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing, production launch, and ongoing support of Global Data Warehousing, Operational, and Reporting applications. Also lead efforts in establishing short- and long-term strategic goals for continuous improvement solutions, efficiency, and application strategy. The Global DWH gathers data from many diverse Percepta and Client source systems including multiple Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Telephony ACDs, After Call IVR Customer Satisfaction surveys, E-mail Customer Satisfaction surveys, Quality Systems, Voice Mail, and Work Force Management. These global DWH solutions support North America, the UK, Germany, South Africa, Australia, and APAC regions.

      This position will support software in the global Enterprise including all Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) functions from various operational systems. In addition, the Senior Data Architect will be responsible for the evolution of the architecture, analysis, and design documents, as well as planning and monitoring all system testing. Assessing the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse, making key technology decisions, and verifying that the architecture and implementation meet all user requirements is also required.

      Some duties include creating account data for authorized individuals to access databases and organizing databases so individuals can find important documents efficiently. In addition to the technical requirements, the Senior Data Architect will provide technical leadership and mentoring to the Senior Data Warehouse Developers and Principal Applications Developers on the DWH team.

      During a Typical Day, You’ll

      •Provide technical leadership for strategy, architecture, design, development, testing, production launch, and ongoing support of global data warehousing, operational, and reporting applications by developed short and long-term strategic business goals. Develop and support global DWH metrics required by the client’s program SOWs.

      •Provide architectural leadership for technology solutions, data architectures, data warehouse, cloud, and infrastructure initiatives

      •Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components and extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) solutions to collect data from various internal and external sources

      •Recommend data governance processes, security standards, and models that will provide architectural guidelines to support the development initiatives

      •Participate in strategic and tactical planning and design sessions and conduct “whiteboard” sessions with product management, business intelligence, data engineering, architects, operations, and development team

      •Ensure data quality and controls are in place to support various data ingestion inflows and outflows processes

      •Manage and use tools in the cloud data warehouse development and deployment such as ETL tools, data quality and cleansing tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, data mining, etc.

      •Administer the overall data warehouse strategy, architectures, and security, the definition of data models, all data marts, evaluation of infrastructure components, software, performance, and data applications design

      •Drive decision-making processes to align with business priorities and objectives related to key architecture solutions

      •Develop and implement cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs

      •Develop the strategy and approve the systems architecture for Database and application Servers, daily Database backup & recovery, and Disaster Recovery plans.

      •Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) functions from a variety of operational systems

      •Develop and maintain Multi-Dimensional Data Cubes loaded from the Data Warehouse

      •Assess the performance and capacity requirements of the data warehouse

      •Assess and ensure all operational aspects of the data warehouse, including availability, data integrity, data feeds, etc.

      •Provide technical leadership for strategy, architecture, design, development, testing, production launch, and ongoing support of HR, Finance, and Operations Global Percepta Business applications.

      •Design, develop, manage, and maintain application development standards that meet or exceed industry standards and/or client-identified application development requirements. Institute and manage an effective application development systems lifecycle methodology.

      •Make key technology decisions related to Global DWH and enterprise systems applications.

      •Verify that the architecture and implementation meet all user requirements.

      •Mentor and assist in the technical development of other technical staff.

      •Ensure user access to data follows security compliance standards (PII, GDPR, etc.).

      What You Bring to the Role

      •BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics.

      •15+ years of experience in technical leadership directing global data architecture including strategy, design, development, testing, and support.

      15+ years of experience developing global DWH software including ETL, Logical & Physical data modeling, SQL & Data Access Optimization, and Reporting and Analytics experience. Data staging areas, Cleansing and transformation mechanisms, Star/Snowflake schemas, and Business Intelligence delivery mechanisms.

      •10+ years of experience with DWH performance monitoring and implementing performance improvements.

      •10+ years of experience with customer contact centers and/or customer contact center technology preferred.

      •Cloud system architecture experience as relates to data warehouse services and infrastructure

      A Bit More About Your Role
      •Significant experience with cloud data warehouse technologies and complex data architecture and models

      •Working knowledge of designing architectures for large-volume real-time data streams and component services

      Knowledge of and experience with big data technologies, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and PostgreSQL

      •A proven track record for the successful delivery of cloud data warehouse solutions and related components

      •Must be a tenacious problem solver able to make routine decisions as well as after-hours support requirements.

      •Good understanding of fault-tolerant architectures and high availability

      •Good communication and listening skills are critical components of this job.

      •Must be able to interact with development and infrastructure teams, business, and vendors including the training and mentoring of team members.

      •Strong global data warehousing technical strategy, architecture, design, development, and production support skills

      •1Strong systems development life cycle methodology knowledge

      •Strong problem-resolution skills

      •Customer interface experience, including all levels of management with proven ability to build and maintain influential relationships

      •Microsoft Azure is not required but helpful
