      Job Description:

      The Sr Data Engineer is responsible for designing complex, large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, lakehouses, and real-time streaming platforms. They are expected to lead the development and deployment of data pipelines and provide mentorship junior engineers, define best practices for data engineering, and contributes to strategic planning for data initiatives.

      Education Qualifications:

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Defines best practices for data engineering and contributes to strategic planning for data initiatives
      • Understands, articulates and applies principles of the defined strategy to routine business problems
      • Leads the development and deployment of cloud-based, hybrid or on prem data infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, SQLServer, Postgres etc.
      • Develop and maintain data storage solutions, ensuring high availability and performance
      • Architects complex, large-scale data solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming platforms
      • Implement and enforce data security best practices
      • Manage automated unit and integration test suites
      • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
      • Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering
      • Mentor junior engineers and serves as team lead for data engineering team

        Required Qualifications:

        • 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
        • Expertise in SQL and database management systems
        • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala or Java
        • Experience using APIs to push and pull data from various data systems and platforms
        • Expertise in integration tools like Airflow
        • Extensive experience with modern data technologies (e.g., data lake, lakehouses, data catalogs).
        • In-depth Knowledge of data concepts and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Iceberg, Snowflake, DBT, Fabric)

        Preferred Qualifications:

        • Experience with applying AI and machine learning techniques to data use cases
        • You have experience running pilot programs, innovating, and iterating on feedback
        • Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure platform reliability
        • Strong leadership abilities
        • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
        • Strong communication and collaboration skills

        Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

        Education Requirements:

        • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, or related field
