- Serve as a platform expert for Azure Portal and its Data & AI services, supporting architectural design, governance, and optimization.
- Manage and configure Azure security components, including IAM, ACLs, RBACs, and Entra ID, ensuring proper access, compliance, and platform health.
- Leverage Databricks capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and insights, supporting advanced data engineering use cases.
- Perform Databricks platform administration, including workspace configuration, cluster policies, jobs, CI/CD integrations, and performance tuning.
- Evaluate and implement new features in Databricks by conducting POCs, documentation, and internal knowledge transfer sessions.
- Support Client Digital & Data Platform maintenance activities (~10% of workload).
- Collaborate with cloud engineers, security teams, and data engineering teams to ensure seamless platform operations.
- Document processes, governance models, platform standards, and best practices.
- 5–7 years working with Databricks across ingestion, ETL/ELT, transformations, and analytics workloads.
- 3–5 years of Databricks platform administration experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise with Azure Data & AI services, including Data Lake, Key Vault, ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and related tools.
- Deep understanding of enterprise security models: IAM, ACLs, RBACs, Entra ID.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, including schema design, Delta Lake, pipelines, orchestration, and performance optimization.
- Ability to create POCs, lead technical discussions, and perform knowledge sharing with engineering teams.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and architectural design skills.

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Senior Databricks Architect to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure Data & AI services, Databricks platform administration, and enterprise-level security models (IAM, ACLs, RBACs, and Entra ID). This role is highly technical and hands-on, requiring expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting modern data platforms. This resource MUST be able to work EST hours.

Wage Range :
The rate for this position is between $64.00 - $93.50 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
