      IN SUMMARY

      Mazzetti is seeking a dynamic Senior Decarbonization Specialist to lead our in-house Climate Action Consulting Group. An experienced people leader and high-level specialist, this person will be responsible for generating new business opportunities to ensure maximum exposure of the company in the growing market for climate consulting, decarbonization, sustainability, resilience, and regenerative growth. They will be developing and implementing programs under the sustainability umbrella, working with internal and external individual clients/customers to reduce negative operational impacts on the environment. They will oversee client strategic planning and work with both internal staff and resources as well as outside specialty consultants. This position will have annual revenue growth expectations and require regular interaction with company leadership. We're searching for someone who isn't just proficient in advanced techniques and processes but also has a talent for storytelling, capable of conveying complex information in a visually engaging and easily understandable manner.

      YOUR TASKS WILL INVOLVE

      • Grow our end-to-end climate consulting/decarbonization business. Monitor and analyze current market trends related to decarbonization, sustainability, renewable/resilience portfolios. Initiate strategies for clients to improve their performance. Specifically in the target market of healthcare, but expanding to other related, complex markets such as higher education, science, and tech, etc.
      • Build relationships with strategic partners to expand our offering of services. Structure Memorandums of Agreement with partners to increase speed to market and depth of offerings with potential clients.
      • Develop, prepare, and deliver proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
      • Lead decarbonization projects for clients and directs staff in tasks related to the completion of this work, included but not limited to:
      1. Coordinate the collection of data inputs needed to complete an environmental assessment.
      2. Generate greenhouse gas inventories, including energy usage and gas, water, and other emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3).
      3. Develop and assess viability of strategies meant to support conservation, increase usage of renewable resources, improve efficiency, or reduce energy costs or wasteful output.
      4. Create reports for clients outlining strategic initiatives.
      5. Assist clients with complex prioritization of strategies for implementation.
      6. Work with engineering team members to create implementation plans and timelines that meet the clients’ goals.
      • Mentor staff in climate change and decarbonization to build capacity within.
      • Participate in external opportunities to create thought leadership around decarbonization and low carbon design.
      • Develop and prepare presentations for prospective clients.
      • Develop and assess viability of strategies meant to support conservation, increase usage of renewable resources, improve efficiency, or reduce energy costs or wasteful output.
