      We’re looking for a Senior Delivery Lead to join our Transformation team within our UK Insurance business. This role is accountable for driving delivery of large complex (multi workstream) or multiple change initiatives, utilising the appropriate identified delivery methodology (e.g. waterfall or agile). You will be working with business leads and business stakeholders to define, plan, and deliver the defined outcomes in line with business & performance unit strategies.

      The Senior Delivery Lead will be responsible for task leadership of business & change resources to deliver defined outcomes. The holder will be responsible for taking on the assigned leading role in line with the methodology applied (e.g. Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead).

      With the customer experience at the heart of decisions, this role is responsible for delivering the defined business benefits and outcomes and closely managing the cost of delivery.

      How you’ll help us make health happen:

      • Leadership of the planning, shaping and management of large complex (multi workstream) change initiatives in line with the identified delivery methodology to deliver defined business benefits & outcomes.
        • Including creating and managing optimised project plans, budgets, critical success factors and key milestones for all workstreams., including roadmaps showing now, next, later views.
        • Prioritisation of work focussing on the most important and/or highest value tasks
      • Lead the appropriate project and workstream teams in a matrix approach, (where appropriate in conjunction with Principal Delivery Leads) negotiating and influencing with resource managers to ensure they are optimised to achieve the agreed outcomes, for example.
        • Heads of Change & Transformation delivery on the Identification and management of the necessary change resource, and
        • Business leads on the Identification and management of the necessary business resources & SMEs, and
        • IT managers to ensure IT resources are planned for and used effectively.
      • Maintain delivery momentum by facilitating the delivery flow of a team, effectively managing pace and tempo, achieving results even under difficult circumstances.
      • Ensure high quality and challenging relationships with Executive Sponsors and Business Leads (and other senior leaders across the business) to achieve effective and efficient delivery of the defined business outcomes. Effectively altering your style to suit the stakeholders with whom you are working.
      • Encourage effective working relationships with colleagues across Bupa and third parties to gain their commitment, support, and resource to deliver project work.
      • Effectively engage and manage vendors, focussing on strong delivery capability and cost efficiency opportunities for the initiative as well as Bupa holistically.
      • Successfully coordinating the initiative (and its workstreams where necessary) and their dependencies, ensuring clear management and control of scope, budget, and quality.
      • Use judgement to determine when it is necessary to escalate through established escalation channels, and where necessary the Delivery Hub, in a timely manner.
      • Ensure robust and measurable business/value cases, with clearly identified and traceable commercial outcomes at all times.

      Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role:

      • Strong, credible Change Leader who has extensive experience of leading delivery teams, in business and IT change, to deliver complex change (or multiple unconnected initiatives) to drive significant business benefits.
      • Highly results oriented and focussed on adding value to Bupa. Strong commercial acumen and broad business awareness.
      • Must be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills across a wide range of different senior stakeholders, including Board level reporting.
      • Must be able to thrive in pressurised environments, with a clear approach to decision making and tenacious approach to problem solving, constantly searching, and striving for effective solutions.
      • Experience of working in a regulated (FCA/CQC) and compliance led environment is desirable.
      • Must have a tenacious approach to problem solving, constantly striving for effective solutions with the customer at the heart of everything.
      • Must be highly proficient in risk, resource, and cost/benefit management.
      • Extensive experience of multiple business and IT project delivery methodologies (e.g., MSP, Prince2, Agile, SDLC).
      • Resilient with a clear approach to decision making.
      • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
      • Knowledge of the healthcare Insurance market is desirable.
