      Purpose:

      Design and build the full-stack (front-end + back-end) foundation of an agentic AI platform that empowers associates with real-time guidance, task automation, and data-driven decision support. The Senior Developer for AI will leverage LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and autonomous task orchestration into robust, secure, and scalable web and mobile experiences used daily in 250+ retail locations.

      Minimum Eligibility Requirements

      Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

      Professional Experience

      5 + years building production-grade, customer-facing software; 2 + years in modern front-end frameworks - 2 + years designing REST/GraphQL or event-driven back-end services. Experience with AI RAG or MCP architectures.

      Technical StackMastery

      • React / TypeScript (or equivalent) Java Springboot

      • Azure OpenAI - Node.js, Python - MLflow

      Major Responsibilities

      1. Architecture & Design

      o Define component, API, and data contracts that enable conversational agent workflows, RAG and MPC pipelines at scale.

      o Select libraries / frameworks (React, Next.js, FastAPI, LangChain, Temporal, etc.) that balance rapid iteration with enterprise security and performance needs.

      2. Feature Development

      o Build intuitive UIs for associates: chat interfaces, voice input, etc.

      o Implement back-end services for intent routing, vector search, function calling, and policy enforcement.

      3. AI Integration & Evaluation

      o Orchestrate model calls (proprietary LLMs and third-party APIs), tool-use chains, and feedback loops to ensure agent safety, observability, and continuous improvement.

      o Design A/B tests and offline evals to measure latency, hallucination rate, and task-completion KPIs.

      4. Operational Excellence

      o Automate builds, tests, and deployments with GitHub Actions / Jenkins and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK).

      o Monitor production (OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace) and lead incident response / root-cause analysis.

      5. Collaboration & Mentorship

      o Partner with product managers, UX researchers, and store-operations leaders to translate associate pain-points into shippable features.

      o Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and knowledge-sharing.

      Preferred Qualifications

      · Advanced Degree — MS in CS, ML, HCI, or related field.

      · Domain Expertise — Hands-on experience with retail, supply-chain, or other high-throughput operational environments.

      · Gen-AI Depth — Prompt-engineering, fine-tuning, and deployment of transformers; familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS) and guard-rail frameworks.

      · Mobile & Edge — React Native, Flutter, or PWA development; experience optimizing model inference on edge devices.

      · Design Systems — Proven ability to implement accessible, component-driven UI libraries (Storybook, Figma tokens).

      · Security & Compliance — Knowledge of SOC 2, GDPR, and enterprise IAM patterns; experience with secret management and secure SDLC.

      · Leadership — Track record of driving 0→1 products or leading cross-functional engineering squads in an agile environment.

      • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
