      The Enablement Applications team is responsible for optimising a broad suite of software products, across project / programme management, collaboration and DevOps.

      EnApps work closely with business users across the whole of Sky Group to ensure they have the right technology tools at their fingertips. It’s a growing team who work closely with some of the most innovative technology suppliers in the world.

      What you'll do

      • Support the Senior Manager in the daily management, administration, and optimisation for specific applications within the DevOps scope, including but not limited to Github, Docker, CircleCI, Jenkins and Gitlab

      • Working with business leaders to understand their requirements and to lead your team in designing solution improvements to the existing applications and/or researching how new applications can support Sky Business Groups

      • Support the community of users in fostering best practices and producing guardrails for best-in-class DevOps tools.

      • Manage the engagement with the communities of practice to promote case study creation and the sharing of knowledge across Sky Group and wider into Comcast, Sky’s parent Company.

      • Work directly with the solution architects to design new solutions e.g., build out integrations with existing Sky systems.

      • Support the Senior Manager in managing existing vendor relationships for selected tools in the DevOps domain including commercial agreements, license renewals and to ensure adequate support is being provided where applicable e.g., ensuring SLAs are being met

      • Support the Senior Manager in the creation of content and presentation at executive steering meetings when required to ensure the necessary support is provided by senior leadership.

      • Be willing to develop basic knowledge of wider DevOps and Workflow tools (e.g Jira, Confluence) to provide cover during annual leave periods.

      What you'll bring

      • Experience as a DevOps Tools engineer as part of group technology functions

      • Experience of DevOps tooling and engineering practices – preferably with experience of Github, Docker, CircleCI, Jenkins and Gitlab

      • Experience in managing Dev, Test and Production environments.

      • Full lifecycle exposure and understanding of modern methodologies e.g., Agile

      • Understanding of enterprise security practices, cloud platforms and services, CI/CD and building pipeline experience

      • Experience in technical administration of DevOps applications

      • Ability to forge a connection between business and technology by balancing business, technical and organisational considerations

      • Experience in issue resolution and project delivery to provide oversight in project deliveries

      • Experience in working and preferably managing third parties in project deliveries

      • Preferably experience in innovation and market analysis to understand which new tools can best support Sky Group to innovate and enhance its DevOps capabilities.

      Osterley

      Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
