      About the Role:

      The Senior Director – Creative, Content & Publishing creates the publishing and editorial strategy for the Association and lead our creative, writing and content operations centers of excellence. You will develop and implement a comprehensive content and publishing strategy that aligns with the Association's vision and goals and with our proposition framework. You will report to the VP Experience and work on a remote basis.

      You Will:

      • Lead a team. Interact with all major AICPA-CIMA teams and senior management, committee members, volunteer leadership, executive team of CGMA and other related organizations
      • Engage with partners to create technically accurate, compelling and market-ready content relevant to global membership and to convey the value of the organization and its offerings.
      • Advocate for the voice of the customer through lively, compelling content that represents brand attributes and inspires action.
      • Develop and publish strategies that maximize reach, engagement, and commercial opportunities while driving value for members and across the financial and accounting community.
      • Set editorial guidelines for all Association sites including establishing the guidelines for content lifecycle standards and tagging methodology.
      • Set the Association's global strategy for the Creative Services COE and ensure performance/delivery of design/multimedia content supporting the needs of the Association including that of our volunteer leadership, Board and Council.
      • Ensure performance against the strategy for the Writing & Authoring COE. Ensure the Writing & Authoring team deliver cost effective, original, compelling, high-quality content that creates member engagement
      • Set the strategy for the Content Operations & Performance COE ensuring a culture of continuous improvement where performance feedback is used to shape and improve member value and our capabilities/efficiencies across the content supply chain.
      • Guide collaboration by leveraging solid relationships to ensure consistency in messaging, cohesion, and tone across all content and in line with our over overarching proposition framework.

      You Have:

      • People management and leadership experience
      • Knowledge of the accounting and finance profession, publishing industry, content delivery, association management and governance, financial management, sales, and advertising practices
      • Demonstrated skills in complex decision-making, problem–solving and planning.
      • Experience in turning data into actionable insights
      • A market-focused approach to business, and understanding of what drives product profitability
      • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or related field.
      • 10+ years' experience as publisher or editor of a large, or global, circulation business, professional, trade or consumer publication, including experience in digital strategy, websites, app, and mobile web experience.
      • Broad experience leading an editorial staff in an Agile, matrixed environment.
      • Experience with multiple forms of content channels and deliverables, i.e., social media, blogs, videos and SEO.

      The Salary Range for this role is: $132,000 to $197,100. Please note, this is a standard range and exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
