Design, build, deploy, and maintain RBC’s enterprise cyber and technology risk process and practices.
Own and enhance RBC’s Cyber and Technology Risk appetite framework globally.
Own all Cyber and Technology Risk frameworks, policies and standards globally ensuring they are proactively maintained and fit for purpose.
Accountable for delivery of cyber and technology risk reporting and analytics globally
Provide clear direction and thought leadership to ensure RBC’s cyber and technology processes and practices remain in compliance with global cyber and technology regulations and remain within RBC’s stated risk appetite.
Engage with other 2nd line Centres of Governance and Operational Risk Management teams who support specific RBC’s cyber and technology practices, ensuring appropriate alignment with supporting requirements/expectations.
Lead and execute oversight of RBC’s functional teams such as Finance, Group Risk Management and HR.
Develop and operate direct regulatory reporting requirements including incident reporting in collaboration with regional teams.
Monitor and report on the Cyber and Technology program’s compliance with regulatory expectation
University degree, or equivalent
15 years’ experience in a variety of technology and/or related risk management roles
Extensive technology experience in a large, global, bank/financial services company
Experience in risk management, deep knowledge of banking/financial services regulatory requirements and best practices related to risk management practices globally
Experience leading a large and/or complex global or cross-functional teams
Experience leading in a matrixed environment, managing a diverse group of executive stakeholders
Expert in risk management methodologies
Highly proficient in stakeholder management, change management, strategy development, people management
Experience in working within a large financial services company
Knowledge of Project Management (PMF) process/disciplines
CISSP, CISA, CRISC or other Information Security Certification

Job Description
As Senior Director, Cyber and Technology Risk Governance, you will lead a team playing a key role delivering cyber and technology risk management 2nd line oversight globally.
The team supports governance by leading the maintenance of Risk Frameworks/policy documents, monitors and reports on regulatory compliance, manages regulatory exams. The team also leads the development and operation of reporting and analytics support including risk profile development and reporting and regulatory compliance reporting. The team also leads maintenance and evolution of the operating model, develops and runs/leads key centralized processes including regulatory incident reporting, Crown Jewels identification and reporting to support oversight and challenge.
What is the Opportunity?
Use your extensive, varied cyber, technology and risk management experience to drive the continued evolution of our leading Cyber and Technology risk management practice at a global financial services organization. Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership team reporting to the VP, Enterprise Resiliency Risk. The role provides exposure across businesses and regions liaising with other related risk areas such as Third Party, Business Continuity and Fraud across all three lines of defence. As a result the role provides the ability to develop a wide variety of cyber, technology and risk management skills in an in demand area.
