      This position is responsible for coordinating efforts to support small businesses throughout the city, which also includes serving as the primary administrator of the City of Irving’s Small Business Recovery and Resiliency Grant Program and developing new programs to help retain and grow small businesses. Duties include facilitating and leading the implementation of development and redevelopment projects and / or functions from conception to completion; performing highly responsible managerial work involving assessing, estimating, developing, coordinating, managing, planning, and oversight of development and revitalization projects. This position will provide leadership for and participate in special projects, initiatives and activities, proactively seeking solutions to various municipal issues and serves as a staff liaison to various committees, boards, and commissions as appropriate. A Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Urban Planning or a related field, and five years of relevant experience with two years of project management experience required. Must have a high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel; good written and oral communication skills; and the ability to research, compile and summarize a variety of informational and statistical data into comprehensive reports. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class C Texas driver’s license within six months of hire. A certified Economic Developer (CecD) credential would be beneficial.       PAY GRADE GG30 / FULL PAY RANGE $8,192 - $11,551 PER MONTH
