      Job Title: Senior Engagement Membership Manager

      Reports To: Director of Membership and Volunteers

      Position Overview: The Senior Manager of Membership Engagement plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful connections with members of Paralyzed Veterans of America, including women veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Reporting to the Director of Membership & Volunteers, this position oversees strategies and initiatives to enhance member engagement, recruit new members, and support member satisfaction. The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, data-driven decision-making, and leadership in creating impactful programs and events that advance the organization's mission.

      Position responsibilities and duties:

      Member Engagement Strategy:

      • Develop, execute, and analyze comprehensive member engagement strategies to increase participation, loyalty, and satisfaction among diverse PVA members.
      • Identify opportunities to address the unique needs of members, including women veterans, through impactful programs, events, and initiatives.
      • Collaborate with internal teams to align engagement strategies with organizational goals and objectives.

      Relationship and Stakeholder Building:

      • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, associate members, Chapters, and other stakeholders, providing personalized support and communication.
      • Work with Chapters to develop and support Women Veteran Liaisons and other member representatives.

      Communication and Outreach:

      • Partner with Marketing and Communications to design and implement member communications, including newsletters, social media campaigns, and outreach materials.
      • Lead targeted outreach efforts to engage and inform members, including women veterans with SCI/D, MS, and ALS.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert on issues affecting women members at conferences, seminars, and veteran-focused events.

      Program and Event Coordination:

      • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of member-specific programs, including the annual Women Veterans Empowerment Retreat, webinars, and workshops.
      • Collaborate with PVA teams, such as Sports and Recreation, Veterans Career Program, Medical Services, and Veterans Benefits, to ensure programs meet member needs.
      • Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, outcomes, and KPIs, preparing regular reports to track program performance.

      Data and Budget Management:

      • Assist with the development and management of budgets for membership programs and events, ensuring financial accountability.
      • Utilize research and analytics to track key performance indicators and member satisfaction, applying insights to refine engagement strategies.

      Collaboration and Advocacy:

      • Work with external organizations, including veteran service organizations and disability rights groups, to build coalitions that promote the needs of members.
      • Work with the Advocacy team on policies and programs that address the unique challenges faced by PVA members, particularly women veterans.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Nonprofit Management) or equivalent experience.
      • 5+ years of experience in membership engagement, project management, or customer relationship management.
      • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
      • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and budget management.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
      • Willingness to travel as needed to support program initiatives.
