      Position Overview

      We are looking for an experienced Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Jira and Confluence to help us scale and optimize our engineering collaboration ecosystem. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our Atlassian Cloud environment while driving best practices and user adoption across the organization.

      Responsibilities

      • Administer and optimize Atlassian Cloud products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence) to support agile delivery and knowledge management

      • Configure workflows, automation rules, permissions, and integrations to meet evolving business needs

      • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Jira and Confluence, addressing user-reported issues, permissions, and configurations

      • Respond to ad-hoc queries via Slack and other platforms

      • Create and maintain internal and customer-facing technical documentation

      • Guide and support customer implementation projects and enhancement requests

      • Manage user access and security settings in compliance with organizational policies

      • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues

      • Implement governance and standardization for projects, spaces, and templates

      • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve processes and enhance user experience

      • Support cloud migration and hybrid deployment strategies

      • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

      • Ensure compliance with internal security and audit requirements

      • Participate in change management and incident response processes

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sprint goals and continuous improvements

      • Stay current with Atlassian Cloud updates and features, ensuring timely adoption of improvements

      Minimum Qualifications

      • 4+ years in IT support and customer engagement. - Must have

      • 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence in enterprise environments - Must have

      • Strong understanding of Atlassian Cloud and Data Center architectures - Must have

      • Proficiency in JQL, REST APIs, and automation tools

      • Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems

      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

      • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication abilities

      • Experience with Linux, Bash, and Unix command line

      • Exposure to DevOps practices and public cloud environments (AWS preferred)

      • Comfortable working in agile and scrum-based teams

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Proven experience as a Jira and Confluence Administrator in Atlassian Cloud environments

      • Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, automation, and advanced configurations

      • Experience with Confluence space management, permissions, and macros

      • Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps and integration with third-party tools

      • Familiarity with AI-powered features in Atlassian tools

      • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS)

      • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Groovy

      • Experience with PostgreSQL and Jira add-on development

      • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling

      • Knowledge of data migration strategies from on premises to cloud (preferred)

      • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

      • Atlassian Cloud certifications for system & Org admins

      • Experience with API scripting or automation using Atlassian REST APIs

      • Understanding of ITSM practices and Agile frameworks

      Salary transparency

      Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $97,600 and $168,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
