      Period of Appointment

      Fixed Term - 12 Months

      Hours per fortnight

      73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

      Duties

      • Supervise and coordinate the administrative operations of the State Litigation Office including mentoring and training administrative and clerical staff in all aspects of their duties to ensure the delivery of effective administrative services.
      • Apply detailed technical knowledge to review and improve a range of complex administrative operations to ensure the efficient delivery and coordination of administrative resources. This will include as appropriate modifying procedures and developing guidelines and procedures.
      • Using a degree of independence and initiative to provide comprehensive executive support to the State Litigator and legal practitioners assisting the State Litigator as required, including high quality document production, travel and function arrangements, and coordination of meetings and conferences,
      • Act as the first point of contact for the State Litigator and exercise initiative in undertaking high level liaison with senior government officers, statutory office holders, Ministerial Offices, external organisations and the general public.
      • Undertake financial operations of the office including the purchase of materials and supplies, booking travel and training while understanding financial delegations and monitoring expenditure against budgets.
      • Report to the Director Crown Law Services in relation to matters of administration and staff management and undertake tasks as directed.
      • Undertake office management duties and other administrative and clerical services within Crown Law as the State Litigator may require.
