What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and participate in projects for State Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) agencies
- Provide Medicaid and CHIP policy-related guidance, operational expertise, and team management
- Develop strategies to resolve complex Medicaid policy issues and communicate results to clients
- Plan, coordinate, and direct projects to support Medicaid policy research and program development
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and relationship building
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in health policy, public policy, health management, public health, or a related field
- Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience in Medicaid managed care procurement and contracting
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and navigating Medicaid policy topics
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including public presentation comfort
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Expertise in Medicaid managed care payment and value-based payment design
- Experience within a State Medicaid agency or at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Familiarity with Medicaid State Plans and waivers
- Experience working with Medicaid actuaries
