What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage pre-award and post-award grant activities, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines
- Liaise between faculty, center directors, and administrative departments for grant preparation and submission
- Monitor and oversee complex budgets and expenditures for sponsored projects
- Prepare and submit final reports to funding agencies and assist with grant closeout processes
- Track and analyze grants metrics and funding trends, providing insights to faculty and leadership
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in grant management or research administration
- Knowledge of federal regulations and university policies related to sponsored projects
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Research Management Systems (RMS and SUBS system)
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting in a research environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
