In this leading role you will enable and support businesses to make fundamental shifts in how business is conducted, and supply chain is de-risked to cope with changes initiated by global trends, digital technologies to ensure Supply chain continuity and continuous quality standards in terms of factory FPY and LCM activities.
You will be tasked with the mounting responsibility of building a system from the ground up that builds substantive changes to achieve business results, within a defined timeframe.
You will mentor and direct a team of global transfer leaders, project managers and engineering leaders supporting the Sustaining Engineering objective.
You need to possess advanced business and technical knowledge and specialized domain competencies to enable organizational agility and success
You need to add value by challenging the status quo and by mentoring and supporting colleagues.
Prioritize and drive performance improvements that will have the biggest overall impact on the supply chain continuity and Factory productivity, first pass yield (FPY) and on delivering operational excellence to businesses, by challenging how things are done, mentoring, and embedding an attitude of continuous improvement to achieve performance excellence.
Managing complexity of products or systems in multidisciplinary setting, within scope of a single business.
Leads and influences others and drives design for quality and is closely involved in the program of the applicable business.
Makes a fundamental contribution to the innovation of products or processes.
Solves fundamental problems on the basis of thorough (unique) knowledge in the professional field.
Solves technical problems that have never been encountered previously in the organization.
Generates initiatives with regard to technological improvements, and performs future-oriented studies in dialogue with other specialists

Supplier De-Risking
Makes substantial contribution to the innovation process and communicates new insights to own business.
Specialist in business and solves complex problems, where responsible for the overall concept at systems level
Draws up design requirements and produces specifications for the product
Draws up schedules and assigns parts projects to members of staff. Gives them technical guidance
Ensures aftercare of projects.
Lead and Develop a large team (50-100 people) of Electrical Engineers, System Designers & Engg. managers
Responsible for Requirements, Design, implementation, test and integration of his module/sub-system in accordance with the higher-level architectural Requirements and - Design specifications, easy to maintain, extendible (components and modules) and re-usable.
Ensure that the proposed architecture would have the safety and reliability features built-in
The Electrical Engineers ensure that his design is consistent with the higher-level Design and requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that architecture meets the performance criteria
Formulates the HW-technical roadmap, relevant for his subsystem/system taking into account HW technologies (operating systems, data bases), application trends
Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed design
Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Guides the HW Engineering Managers in the design and implementation aspects
Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
Is abreast of / participates in standards identification responsible for designing
Networks with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking, new technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the HW-group
Contributes to technology roadmaps and other strategic related activities
Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area.
Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
Completed engineering studies at university level; BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electronics/Electrical with 17 to 20+ years of experience
Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods & tools (CAD/simulation) used in electrical design
Expert in Power Electronics and High Voltage
Knowledge of Digital Electronics and Analog circuits
Expert in Electrical Hardware Testing
Knowledge of Designing Cable Harness
Knowledge of a specific area of technology or product feature.
Peripheral interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, and USB
Worked on CPLD’s and FPGA design
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software/Firmware boundaries and should have knowledge of SW development (coding) /debugging on prototype hardware and changing requirements – added advantage
Expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware boundaries.
Exposure to International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred
Experience in the field of Medical Devices product design e.g. X-Ray tubes, Generators, CT, MR, Cathlab etc. will be added advantage
