What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Gather and prepare data necessary for filing all Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
- Coordinate all audit activities related to third-party issues
- Assure appropriate reimbursement from all parties involved
- Analyze, prepare, and book the monthly third-party activity
- Provide Mercy-wide and regional provider enrollment support for hospital providers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in hospital cost reporting and/or hospital enrollment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA licensure or equivalent is a plus
- Over 5 years of experience in Medicare cost report preparation or auditing Medicare Area Contractor experience is a plus
- Experience with Access and other database software or Lawson GL experience
