Establishing good and effective relationships with managers and stakeholders across your business area, where you will be considered as their trusted advisor
Providing sound and professional generalist HR advice to managers and stakeholders using a consultative style, coaching and providing feedback/guidance on approaches that aid people engagement – transparency, communication, equity etc.
Escalating matters to the strategic people partners or other areas as appropriate
Proactively getting involved in any initiatives or activities which supports the wider People team including BAU and/or project work
Delivering a range of HR activities in the employee life cycle – this could include job evaluation, recruitment, performance management, generalist HR and/or ER advice
Supporting organisational design work and coordinating/delivering any activities that may be needed
Using available data and insights to inform, support and drive decision making
Contributing to the continuous improvement of People team practices
Using people information systems effectively to access, input and compile data
Delivering exceptional customer service to colleagues by being readily available as and when needed
Being the People Partnering team’s initial escalation point for any queries from People Hub
Being flexible to support work in other business areas, where cover is needed for large projects, or to cover for other Senior HR Advisers in the wider team.
Keeping skills and knowledge up to date, understanding the latest trends in the world of work and employment law developments
Generalist HR experience of supporting managers across a range of HR specialisms and challenges, in an organisation of similar size and complexity
Strong knowledge of HR best practice, UK employment law and legal requirements
A high level of confidence in dealing with data, and the ability to analyse and interpret it to draw out insights
An understanding of project management disciplines, and the ability to anticipate challenges, set clear actions and take ownership of those allocated to you
CIPD qualification (Level 5) – or willingness to work towards this
Workday experience
Experience of organisation design and change projects
Proactive, and able to work independently to - multitask as required to ensure key deliverable are met.
Experience of working collaboratively to achieve results

Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.
Salary: From £41,000 (London rate)
Reporting to: Strategic People Partner
London docklands and an office in Coventry
O ur permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
You will work as part of the People Partnering team, supporting the Strategic People Partners, in the delivery of the people plans across the business areas you are aligned to.
You’ll use data, metrics and evidence to inform and support decision making on people priorities and change programmes. You will be involved in projects and work programmes that assist your business area to deliver on their people priorities. You will also work collaboratively with the centres of excellence across HR to develop and improve on cyclical processes
