  You will join a dedicated team in a highly professional environment with a strong technical commitment. You will get a chance to collaborate closely with skilled experts within design of hydraulic and mechanical components, motors, electronics, and digital systems, and together you will form the future for product development and modularization at Grundfos.

  Your main responsibilities :

  As a Senior Hydraulic Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop hydraulic components using a simulation-driven approach. Leveraging advanced simulations to design, optimize and verify the performance of our products, you will help us maintain our position as the world's leading pump manufacturer.

  You will engage in cross-functional collaboration with various specialists within the global development team and production sites across the globe. As part of your role, you will:

  • Take active participation in scouting, investigating, and implementing new technologies such as parametric design, simulation technologies, and additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Be responsible for developing state-of-the-art hydraulic components such as impellers, pump housings, and chambers.
  • Support the development of modules to ensure inclusion of new technologies.
  • Utilize your hydraulic expertise to provide internal support when requested.
  • Conduct training sessions for your colleagues to impart knowledge in relevant areas of expertise.
  • Explore opportunities for accelerating hydraulic design and development by the usage of AI technologies

  Your background :

  While your technical knowledge in fluid mechanics is critical, your ability to drive processes forward and think in a result-oriented way is equally important.   As a top candidate for this role, you excel in presenting technical results to both specialist and non-technical stakeholders. You are confident communicating and working collaboratively with diverse groups of people, sharing your knowledge effectively and approaching teamwork with enthusiasm.

  We imagine that you have:

  • An MSc or a PhD in fluid mechanics.
  • A strong technical background in fluid mechanics, turbomachinery, and fluid flow simulation techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Proficiency in programming using Python.
  • Knowledge of numerical optimization and/or machine learning techniques
