What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and mitigate information security risks by evaluating, assessing, and implementing systems and policies
- Conduct targeted risk assessments and determine significant risk points
- Review assessment results for vulnerabilities and establish plans for resolution with stakeholders
- Maintain an effective information security awareness program and educate internal teams on best practices
- Ensure business and clinical software applications include adequate information security controls
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related discipline
- 3-4 years of related experience, including 2 years in an Information Services department
- Experience with HIPAA/PHI compliance programs, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and audits
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity methodology and practices, including various cybersecurity frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems and penetration testing
- Knowledge of data loss prevention and anti-malware software tools
- Experience with computer networking and various operating systems, including Windows, UNIX, and Linux
