We are growing our app team and are currently looking for an iOS Developer to join our team working with the Volvo Cars app. You’ll be joining a team that values honesty, integrity, trust and thinks that work should be both challenging and fun. We are a group of skilled people, currently engaged in agile product development for the Volvo Cars app. The team is located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund, Sweden. We also interact with teams in San Francisco US and in Shanghai China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Sony, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna, EA Games etc.

  What you’ll do

  As a developer in one of our teams you will work with helping our users drive and charge their car in the most optimal and sustainable way. You will work with discovery and delivery of Mobile application experiences in an empowered product team. This will include rapid development of prototypes/concepts as well as regular product development to push mobile development at Volvo Cars to the next level. Your focus will be to enhance and innovate user services that comes as a part of driving an electric Volvo. You'll design and build applications for the iOS platform and ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. You'll collaborate with other engineers (working on Android, iOS and backend) to define, design, and ship new features as well as fix bugs and help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

  You and your skills

  We are looking for a talented and passionate iOS developer with knowledge and experience of iOS and SwiftUI. You are experienced with agile development and modern software tech company best practices. You know your way around Apple's iOS app design principles as well as UIKit and its key components. You have a passion for making delightful user experiences, for learning and for pushing barriers. You write readable, maintainable and testable code and have good knowledge of unit and integration testing techniques. Experience with Swift UI is also good. If you have experience in Android or backend development, that's great, but it's not a requirement.
